Well, the Houston Rockets made a big statement Saturday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, beating them 98-91 without James Harden on the floor.
After a tight first half, the Rockets came out on fire in the third quarter on both sides of the ball. The outscored the Clippers 30-13 in the quarter, which gave them the lead for good.
It truly was a team effort for the Rockets, with five players in double digits—Jeremy Lin (15), Chandler Parsons (15), Francisco Garcia (15), Omer Asik (13) and Carlos Delfino (11).
The Clippers struggled to protect the ball, committing 18 turnovers and shooting just 38.7 percent from the floor as a team.
Chris Paul (19), Blake Griffin (12) and Jamal Crawford (15) were the only players in double digits for the Clippers. Caron Butler's awful 2-of-10 shooting from the floor didn't help the Clippers' cause either.
With the Denver Nuggets winning on Friday the Clippers hopes of gaining the third seed in the West took a major hit.
The Rockets on the other hand are still holding onto hope that they can bypass the Golden State Warriors for the six seed in the West.
