Kyrie Irving Confirms He Is NBA’s Hottest Young Star with 3-Point Contest Win

Kyrie Irving is the new three-point champion of the NBA after dominating his way through the competition at the 2013 All-Star Weekend.

The Cleveland Cavaliers guard netted an incredible 23 in the final of the competition to beat Matt Bonner—capping off an incredible weekend for the youngster.



Irving had already set the Internet ablaze with his glorious moves on Brandon Knight in the Rising Stars Challenge, but it was his victory in the three-point competition that will no doubt leave many talking about the skills of the youngster for many weeks to come.

And so they should, for Irving is without doubt the hottest young star in the NBA.



TNT analyst Steve Kerr said prior to the All-Star Weekend that the star guard was not only a strong player, but easily one of the best in the league.

"Talent-wise, he's right at the top," Kerr said. "I don't see anybody with a better skill set, including Chris Paul. Nobody has his shooting range, his shooting proficiency, his athleticism, his speed."
