Jackson Leaning Toward Retaining Rambis

According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Ian Begley, the interim boss has emerged as "the preferred choice of team president Phil Jackson, whom sources say is pushing for a new multiyear deal for Rambis."
Jackson's reported interest in naming Rambis the team's full-time head coach makes sense based on the rapport the two share dating back to their days with the Los Angeles Lakers.
"Kurt and I have a relationship that goes back to 2001," Jackson said, per Stein and Begley. "He knows the ins and outs, what pleases me and [what] probably I want to have changed."
However, it would be hard to argue there aren't more intriguing options than Rambis available on the open market.
