The Kings should have known by now. Everyone in the building knew where it was going. Once he had the ball, it was going up. He knew it. His coach knew it. The guy selling novelty hats at the team store knew it.

And you just knew that it was going in.

What they didn't know was that he was going to steal the ball as time expired. They didn't know that they would squander a seven point lead halfway through one overtime. They didn't know that he could still shoot with a bumb elbow, bumb pinky, and every home fan hating him every time he touched the basketball.

But they should have. Because he is Kobe Bryant.

You can have all of the LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony that you want. Take your Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Baron Davis, Chris Paul, and Derron Williams. Kobe Bryant is better, no matter what the individual scoreline says, no matter what the points per game reveals, and no matter how many boo-birds rain down.
