Kobe Bryant on LeBron James’ Free Agency: “I Don’t Give a (Bleep)”

You knew this underlying anger was there.  It had to be.

Here was Kobe Bryant, leading his Los Angeles Lakers to their possible second championship in three years, and the story of the day was Larry King’s interview with LeBron James.

During the season, Bryant had to read and hear about how James was the better player, the better leader, and the better talent.  Magic Johnson went as far as to say that the torch had been passed on to "King James."

One would think that after the Cleveland Cavaliers got upset in the playoffs for the second straight year as the number one seed, the focus would shift to Kobe—the guy who was, you know, not losing when he was expected to win.

Instead, hoopla around where LBJ would sign ensued and it is still at a fever pitch.  Some reporter, who will now be known as a donkey, asked Kobe where he thought LeBron would sign yesterday.

"You’re asking me if LeBron is going to New York?" Bryant told The Post. "I’m trying to tell you in a polite way, I don’t give a [bleep]."
