Kobe Bryant on Knicks’ Triangle Offense: ‘That Ain’t No F–king Triangle’

November 9th, 2015 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

Kobe Bryant spent years in the triangle offense when Phil Jackson was the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, and given that he won five championships in the system, he knows how it should be run.

According to Bryant, the New York Knicks are having trouble with their shapes.

Twitter user @tbarbs13 posted a video of Bryant talking to New York superfan Spike Lee during Sunday's game at Madison Square Garden. In the video, the Black Mamba ripped the Knicks offense, which is being run by Bryant's friend and former teammate, Derek Fisher. Let's just say Bryant described the Knicks offense in only a way he could.

Regardless of the shape of the offense, the Knicks were able to pull out a 99-95 victory.
