When Kobe Bryant knocked down a key three-pointer late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons, the Los Angeles Lakers star made sure to celebrate with the people who had been supporting him all night.
No, not his teammates. There were three special fans sitting courtside who cheered him on throughout the game.
Back in August, Anthony Sadler (who was wearing a Lakers shirt at the time), Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos stopped a terrorist attack on a Paris train. The three heroes were honored before and during Sunday's game, with Sadler wearing the same shirt he wore on the train:
Their attendance (and cheering) set up a really cool moment late in the game.
With the Lakers holding an 82-74 lead with less than four minutes to play, Bryant hit his first three-pointer of the night to give his team a double-digit lead. When the Pistons called a timeout following the three-pointer, the Black Mamba went over and dished out some high-fives to the heroes:
