Kobe Bryant Injury: Updates on Lakers Star’s Back and Return

Injuries have hammered Kobe Bryant over the past two years as he appeared in just 41 total games. All of the mileage Bryant has put on his body is starting to catch up with him, and now back issues are starting to dog the legendary shooting guard.

Bryant to Miss Wednesday's Game Wednesday, Nov. 11 This is the second game in a row Bryant will miss because of his back, per Mike Trudell of Lakers.com. He was left out of the lineup for Los Angeles' 101-88 defeat to the Miami Heat on Nov. 10.

Although he has yet to declare his intentions one way or the other, the general perception around the league is that Bryant will retire following the 2015-16 season.

"We haven't set anything in stone and I've talked about it before," said the 37-year-old in an interview with Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears in August. "But could this be the last [season]? Absolutely. It's tough to decide. It's really tough to make those types of decisions."

Later that month, Lakers co-owner Jim Buss admitted the front office is "going to approach" this year as if it's Bryant's last but acknowledged the final decision rests firmly with the ...
