Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is playing in his final NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night, and he's going out with a record.
In the second quarter, Bryant surpassed Michael Jordan for the most field-goal attempts in the history of the All-Star Game, per ESPN Stats & Info. Jordan held the record with 233 attempts, and Bryant came into his 18th All-Star Game with 227.
Bryant's seventh attempt of the game came from three-point range with two minutes, 34 seconds remaining in the quarter and would have tied the game at 84-84. Bryant took eight shots in the first half.
Not only has the four-time All-Star Game MVP taken the most shots in the history of the midseason spectacle, but Bryant has also shot efficiently in his All-Star career. He came into Sunday's game shooting 51 percent in the All-Star Game and has scored in double figures 11 times.
Bryant took a career-high 26 shots in 2011, when he scored a career-best 37 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and won his fourth All-Star Game MVP award.
