In his NBA debut, Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis scored 12 points for the New York Knicks in a 78-73 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Porzingis played just 19 minutes, as he returns from a hip injury, but he took advantage of his limited time. He went 3-of-5 from the field, 6-of-7 from the free-throw line, grabbed three boards and blocked two shots.
Two other Knicks reached double figures. Cleanthony Early led the way with 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while Jerian Grant added 12 and hit 9-of-10 free throws.
The Spurs stayed in the game, in large part thanks to Kyle Anderson. Slo-Mo scored a game-high 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting.
