Knicks Head Coach Search: Latest News, Rumors, Speculation Surrounding Position

Kurt Rambis has served as the interim coach for the New York Knicks since they fired Derek Fisher in February, but former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt is reportedly a potential candidate to take over the position in a full-time role next season.

Knicks Reportedly 'Considering' Blatt Monday, April 11 According to Ian Begley of ESPN.com, "Rambis remains a strong candidate for the job," although team president Phil Jackson "plans to do his due diligence in the search and consider other candidates."

Begley noted: "One name that the Knicks are considering, according to league sources, is former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach [Blatt]."

Blatt was famously fired by the Cavaliers in January even though he led them to last season’s NBA Finals and even won two games against the Golden State Warriors once he got there, despite serious injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. Tyronn Lue replaced him in Cleveland following his firing.
