Amare Stoudemire played like a superstar in his second game as a New York Knick, but his game-high 27 points weren't enough as they fell to the Boson Celtics 105-101 on Friday night.

Rajon Rondo recorded his first triple-double of the young season and dished out an impressive 24 assists as he powered the reigning Eastern Conference champs to their second win.

The Knicks shot just 43.5 percent from the field, including 9-of-27 behind the arc as they went back and forth with a veteran Celtics team who seemed to have an answer for everything Mike D'Antoni threw at them.

Wilson Chandler continued his consistency as the Knicks sixth man, scoring 19 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the field.

Boston's Kevin Garnett scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Celtics improved to 2-0 on their home floor and 2-1 overall.

New York kept the game close throughout, trailing by four at the half and breaking even with the Celtics in the second half.
