Knicks Fans Pray for Better Days in Short Film ‘Porzingod’

April 26th, 2016 by Laura Depta Leave a reply »

New York Knicks fans have endured their share of disappointment over the years. But with the help of young phenom Kristaps Porzingis, the team might finally find salvation.

Filmmakers Conor and Tyler Byrne created a hilarious short film to that effect, aptly titled Porzingod, and debuted it at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York last week.

John Leguizamo and Adam Mucci star as long-suffering Knicks fans praying at the altar of Porzingis for better days, days in the image of the great 1990s Knicks teams. "In the name of Van Gundy, we pray."

A short clip was released in advance, but now, fans can watch the entire three-plus-minute film in all its blue-and-orange glory—Reggie Miller slight included.
