Knicks Dunk Video: Watch Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith’s Insane Double Alley-Oop

We are so used to J.R. Smith's flashy dunks that when the headline comes up again, we tend to chalk it up to just another flashy dunk by Smith.  However, this double alley-oop dunk was unique and showed some real creativity in the middle of a playoff race for the Knicks.

Of course, the dunk was in garbage time of a 20-point blowout of the Pistons, but the highlight really does show at what state the Knicks are clearly in right now.

New York has suddenly been revitalized by "Woodsanity" (is that what we're calling it?) replacing "Linsanity," and it is nice to see the Knicks having fun again.

The team has gone 6-4 in their last 10 games and seem to be back on track, barring their blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

But the team is having fun again, and this dunk is a testimony to that.

It starts with Detroit getting picked off by Smith in the offensive zone, already down 20 points, who then runs it up-court and throws an alley-oop to Iman Shumpert that is just a little off.  Credit Shumpert, who sees the bad pass by Smith and turns it into a mid-air lob back to the slashing Smith for the throwdown. ...
