Knicks Almost “Major League” Can D’Antonis’ Boys Be ” One Player Away”?

Just as in the movie "Major League" which started with the Cleveland Indians' fans lamenting the team's chances for the new campaign ("These Guys Suck"), I assumed grim tidings for my beloved Knicks this season.

However after the team stumbled and bumbled through the first half of the young season, they find themselves with a record of  13-20, good enough for third in the Atlantic division. Okay, they aren't setting the NBA on fire, but they have certainly proven themselves to be quite competative.

Granted the team still provides flashbacks to last years debacle, but now Knicks' coach Mike D'Antoni has a  group of players with some time playing together in his rapid fire offensive style.

Hopefully, the Knicks won't have to cut their own throats by losing many of this core group of players such as David Lee, Wilson Chandler, Jared Jeffries,or Danilo Gallinari in order to sign any of the much salivated over upcoming free agent class.
