Kevin Garnett Moves into 8th Place on All-Time Rebounds List

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett moved into eighth place on the NBA's all-time rebounds list during Monday's 102-100 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, per NBA.com/stats.

Garnett entered the game with 14,456 career rebounds, leaving him eight shy of Nate Thurmond's 14,464 for eighth place.

Garnett's odds of reaching the mark didn't appear very good, as he had only pulled in eight or more rebounds in 14 of his 37 games this season entering Monday.

Despite facing a Clippers frontcourt that features center DeAndre Jordan and forward Blake Griffin, Garnett managed to grab 11 rebounds, moving him clear of Thurmond for eighth place.

It was only Garnett's eighth outing with double-digit boards this season, which is due in large part to the fact that he's averaging 20.8 minutes per game.

After hovering around the 30-minute mark during his six seasons with the Boston Celtics, Garnett has been around 20 minutes since joining the Nets before last season.

While he's still a useful contributor to the team's cause, Garnett appears to be nearing the end of the road in a surefire Hall of Fame career.
