Former NBA MVP Kevin Garnett retired from his playing career prior to the 2016-17 season, but he could make his way back to the NBA soon.

Garnett Garnering Coaching Interest Thursday, Oct. 27 According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday night, Garnett is talking with teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks, about a potential "coaching consultant" position.

Wojnarowski's report came just hours after TNT revealed Garnett will join its crew:



Building up to the 2016-17 season, it was uncertain whether Garnett would return for a 22nd NBA campaign. But he announced in September that he was hanging up his sneakers:



Garnett was a 15-time All-Star over his career, which consisted of stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves Boston Celtics, with whom he won the NBA title in 2007-08, and Brooklyn Nets. 

He retired with 26,071 points, which ranks 17th on the NBA's all-time list, and 14,662 total rebounds, which ranks ninth, to go with his 2003-04 MVP award.
