Kevin Garnett injury update: And the rich get richer--for the first time all season, the Celtics practiced with their starting five. Kevin Garnett practiced with the Celtics since straining his calf and missing the last nine games.

He was joined by Kendrick Perkins, who got on the practice court, in a full capacity, for the the first time since injuring his knee in last years NBA Finals. Perkins is targeting his return for February 4th. "I could probably come back before then," Perkins told reporters, "but I think we're on the road and I kind of want to make my first game at home."

Meanwhile Doc Rivers is hoping Garnett will be ready for Monday's contest against the Orlando Magic. Garnett pushed himself in practice and they will see how his calf responds. "I'd probably put it back to 50/50," Rivers added. "He went up and down a little harder on purpose, just to see how his body felt. If he feels good, he'll play."

The Celtics have struggled through injuries all year, but it has hardly phased them. At 30-9, they currently own the best record in the Eastern Conference.
