Kevin Durant Visits Oklahoma State to Watch Marcus Smart Shine

On a night off for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant put his scouting hat on and checked out Oklahoma State's star point guard Marcus Smart.



The Cowboys' sensational sophomore couldn't believe his eyes.



Durant was likely watching a future opponent, as Smart further solidified his standing as a potential top-five pick in next summer's star-studded 2014 NBA draft.

Against the Memphis Tigers on Tuesday night, Smart dropped 39 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field and 5-of-10 from three-point range.

He was, well, Kevin Durant-like.

This outburst came on the heels of yet another big night for Duke freshman Jabari Parker, who scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked six shots for the Blue Devils.

It was as if Smart had finally had enough of all of the hype for Parker and fellow freshmen Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle.

His fantastic performance may not be enough to get him firmly into the hunt for the No. 1 pick. But if the team that winds up winning the lottery needs a point guard, Smart could crash Wiggins and Parker's party.
