As the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare for another postseason run, more rumors about Kevin Durant's future continue to pop up.
According to Chris Mannix of The Vertical, executives from other teams "believe the Spurs will explore ways of adding Durant to the mix, and the franchise's culture makes it intriguing."
The Spurs began building for the future, while remaining one of the NBA's best teams this season, by giving Kawhi Leonard a contract extension and signing LaMarcus Aldridge last summer.
While Aldridge is not a young player at 30, he does have more time ahead of him as a star player than Tim Duncan (39), Manu Ginobili (38) and Tony Parker (33).
The Spurs have been great at managing their finances, particularly with the NBA's salary cap expected to hit $89 million next season and $108 million for the 2017-18 season. San Antonio is currently projected to have $84 million in salary commitments for next season, per Basketball-Reference.com.
