Kevin Durant Rumors: Lakers Reportedly Star’s ‘Primary Objective’ in Free Agency

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant will have his pick of the litter when he hits free agency next offseason, but according to a recent report, KD may be leaning toward making a move out West to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Per Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports, Stephen A. Smith reported on an episode of ESPN's First Take that sources revealed to him Durant has interest in the Lakers.

"Regardless of how senseless it may (sound), in one breath I'm hearing that if Kevin Durant doesn't stay in Oklahoma City, L.A. is his primary objective and landing spot as opposed to South Beach or even his home of Washington, D.C.," Smith said.

With future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant potentially on the verge of retirement, one can only assume that the Lakers would love to sign Durant, although it is unclear if he reciprocates that desire, especially since L.A. could be among the NBA's worst teams this season.
