Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder Quietly Roaring Through Offseason

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers win a consecutive title, John Wall goes first in the NBA Draft, and LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh form the Miami "Super" Heat. 

Those have been the major headlines of the offseason, and while these have covered every aspect of the journalistic world, the Oklahoma City Thunder continued to improve...quietly. 

Proof of this is Kevin Durant's highly unpublicized signing of a five-year extension with the Thunder, which he formally announced on his Twitter account. 

Now, Durant and teammates Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green highlight the USA roster for the World Championships that are quickly approaching. 

The Thunder were the team whose youth, athleticism, and will nearly pushed the Lakers over the edge. Challenging Bryant's team in every way they could manage to think of, looking for anyway possible to win. 

Now with a taste of the playoffs in their mouths, they can only want more. General manager Sam Presti was more than willing to take a step forward for his team.
