Kevin Durant Injury: Updates on Thunder Star’s Recovery from Foot Surgery

As the Oklahoma City Thunder look to rebound after missing the postseason last year, Kevin Durant's return in training camp will be a welcome sight.

Thunder GM: Durant Fully Cleared Wednesday, Sept. 23 Per NBA.com's official Twitter account, Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti announced that Durant has been given the green light for all activities in training camp. 

Coming off his MVP season in 2013-14, Durant battled injuries most of last year. He missed the first 17 games because of a Jones fracture in his right foot. He returned to play 27 games and averaged 25.4 points with a shooting percentage of 51, but his season ended in March when he had surgery on his right foot.

The Thunder are scheduled to open training camp on October 4 with their first preseason game at Minnesota on October 7. Per Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman, Presti said Durant would work with head coach Billy Donovan and the medical staff to determine his playing time.
