Kevin Durant Comments on Thunder’s Game 7 Loss to Warriors, Free Agency

Following Monday's 96-88 Game 7 loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Oklahoma City Thunder will spend the summer wondering what could have been if they had won just one more game.

They'll also be wondering what's going through the mind of Kevin Durant.

The former MVP will be the most coveted free agent this summer when the clock strikes 12:01 a.m. ET on July 1, but Durant is not yet thinking about what the future holds, per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel:



Durant and the Thunder were up 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals with numerous chances to knock off the defending NBA champions, who made history by winning 73 games in the regular season.

Oklahoma City had a sizable lead in Game 6 at home and a double-digit lead in Game 7 in Oakland, but it couldn't shut the door on either of those winnable games.

"It hurts losing, but everybody fought hard every single moment, left their soul out on the court," Durant said after Game 7, per the team's Twitter account.
