Kent Bazemore Injury: Updates on Hawks Forward’s Knee and Return

Atlanta Hawks swingman Kent Bazemore is nursing a right-knee bone bruise that will force him to miss at least one game.

Bazemore Out vs. Denver Thursday, March 17 The Hawks' official Twitter account noted that Bazemore will miss the team's game against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, while KL Chouinard of the team's website reported that Bazemore suffered the bone bruise Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. 

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore, Tim Hardaway Jr. will start in Bazemore's place at small forward.

While Atlanta has not determined the severity of Bazemore's injury, it will be a big loss for a Hawks team that has coveted the stability he's offered on the perimeter all season. 

In his second season with the Hawks, Bazemore is averaging 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
