Kenneth Faried Injury: Updates on Nuggets Star’s Adductor and Return

Kenneth Faried continues to fight injuries this season, as the Denver Nuggets star is on the bench Saturday night against Detroit with an adductor injury.

Faried Ruled Out vs. Pistons Saturday, Jan. 23 According to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post, Faried is out against the Pistons, and Darrell Arthur is likely to start at power forward in his place. 

Even though Faried has not been seriously hurt this season, he has missed six games before Saturday night because of injuries. He was able to make it out of a scary situation on Jan. 2 against Golden State when he was stretchered off the court wearing a neck brace after making contact with a teammate. 

Faried was able to play in Denver's next game on Jan. 6 against Minnesota, though he scored just three points in 18 minutes. The Nuggets have endured their share of struggles this season, as they sit just 3.5 games ahead of Minnesota for fourth place in the Northwest Division.
