Kendrick Perkins: The Boston Celtics’ Un-Paid Garbage Man

“The garbage man” is what his name should be, because he does all of the dirty work for the Boston Celtics.

If an assignment is blown on defense, Perkins cleans it up.

If a teammate blows a lay-up, Perkins cleans it up.

If one of the “Big Four” misses a shot with the shot clock running down Perkins will fight for the rebound to give the Celtics another chance to score.  

Perkins works hard on every possession and never backs down from a challenge and should receive more credit for his talents on the court.

Perkins is the anchor of the Boston Celtics defense; he does so much for the team and competes every night.  

He also sacrifices his own gain for the team, and this is the real definition of a good teammate. Despite all the things he brings to the center position for the Celtics, how hard he works, and all of the sacrifices he makes, Perkins is still put behind almost every other center in the NBA.
