Kemba Walker Injury: Updates on Bobcats Guard’s Achilles and Return

The Charlotte Bobcats bagged a win against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, but it came at a cost. The team announced point guard Kemba Walker experienced tightness in his Achilles tendon and was taken out of the game:



Walker played 32 minutes on the night, shooting 2-of-9 for seven points, adding nine rebounds and nine assists.

It's not outside the realm of possibility that Charlotte is merely taking every precaution necessary with the 23-year-old. The Bobcats had a 20-plus-point lead in the fourth quarter, so there's no reason to keep a starter out there if he's not 100 percent.

The only problem is that the Bobcats have a quick turnaround, as they travel to Brooklyn on Wednesday night to take on the Nets.

As the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell pointed out, Walker won't want to miss that game. He's a native of the Bronx:
