Kawhi Leonard Sets New Career-Best Mark with 33 Points

San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard established a new career-high mark for scoring Saturday night, putting up 33 points in a 102-95 win over the Toronto Raptors, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Facing a Toronto squad that rested star guards Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, the Spurs had a surprisingly difficult time earning their 48th consecutive home victory, with the Raptors keeping things close all night behind double-digit scoring performances from six different players.

Though all but locked in as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, the Spurs opted to play all of their regular starters, needing just three more wins to become the first team to finish a full season without any losses at home.

San Antonio now needs just two more wins to achieve the feat, thanks in no small part to Leonard, who made 10 of his 17 field-goal attempts, two of his five three-point tries and all 11 of his free throws.

In addition to the efficient shooting, he had six rebounds, seven assists, three steals, a block and only two turnovers, all while matching his season-high mark of 40 minutes played.
