Leonard Diagnosed with Quad Contusion

The Spurs' official Twitter account confirmed the diagnosis and added that Leonard wouldn't return with the Spurs up by a lot in the second half.
Leonard's development in the NBA since his arrival in 2011 has been a beauty to behold. The former San Diego State Aztec has improved with each season, growing from more of a defensive specialist to an all-around superstar.
He's unlikely to win, but Leonard has put together a 2015-16 season at least worthy of MVP consideration. To date, he's averaging 20.8 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 46.3 percent from three.
In addition, the Spurs have a paltry 94.2 defensive rating per 100 possessions when Leonard is on the floor, per NBA.com. No one player is more important to San Antonio's title hopes than the 24-year-old small forward.
