The Spurs announced the reigning Defensive Player of the Year will miss Monday’s game versus the Philadelphia 76ers with gastroenteritis.

Leonard is averaging 21.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 34.1 minutes per game, and leads the league at 50 percent shooting from beyond the three-point line.

In Thursday’s 103-83 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Leonard connected for a career-high seven three-pointers, according to Eric Freeman of Yahoo.

At 17-4, the Spurs trail only the undefeated Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference standings and should make do without Leonard against the 76ers, who have the league’s worst record at 1-20.
