Kawhi Leonard Denies Parting Ways with Agency

After rumors to the contrary, San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard is staying with Brian Elfus and Impact Sports Management. ESPN.com's Zach Lowe reported Thursday that it's "basically an internal shift in who does what for him."

USA Today's Sam Amick confirmed the Spurs star will remain an Impact Sports client:



Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated and the Boston Globe clarified what Elfus' role will be with regard to Leonard's representation:



Fischer initially reported Leonard was parting ways with Elfus altogether but has since removed the tweet in question.

Nine months ago, Leonard signed a five-year, $90 million deal to stay with the Spurs, per ESPN.com. Although the reigning Defensive Player of the Year eventually received a max deal, his impending restricted free agency was a critical time for both him and Elfus last season.
