Jordan Clarkson Injury: Updates on Lakers Guard’s Shoulder and Return

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jordan Clarkson suffered a right shoulder injury Thursday night during the team's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors in Anaheim, California.

Clarkson Has a Sprained Shoulder Thursday, Oct. 22 Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding reported that Clarkson picked up the sprain during the second quarter of Thursday night's game and will not return. Per Lakers.com's Mike Trudell, he will be re-evaluated Friday to confirm the extent of the injury.    

Clarkson had seen starting time at the shooting guard position during the preseason as he looked to continue carving out a significant role on a new-look Lakers team. 

The 23-year-old was one of the lone bright spots for a Lakers team that won just 21 games last season, as he averaged 11.9 points per game in 25.0 minutes per night on his way to NBA All-Rookie First Team honors.
