Washington Wizards point guard John Wall will not play in Game 2 of the team's series against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday due to a left wrist injury.

The Wizards reported that Wall will miss Tuesday's Game 2 at Philips Arena in Atlanta after he scored 18 points and dished 13 assists in the first contest of the series, a 104-98 win.
After the game, Randy Wittman added "He'll be day-to-day, the swelling was too much for him to handle tonight." Wall added that he has a really bad sprain and decided to sit after he couldn't dribble how he wanted.
Wall fell awkwardly on the wrist during the second quarter of Game 1 but managed to finish the contest.
It is entirely possible that Wall and Bradley Beal are at least on the verge of becoming the NBA's preeminent guard pairing, but that ascent is on hold for the time being due to Wall's injury.
