John Wall Already Pitching Kevin Durant on Joining Wizards in 2016 Free Agency

John Wall, your sentiments are appreciated, but they're rather irrelevant at this current date. 

The Washington Wizards point guard is the latest player to start making pitches to Kevin Durant, who is still under contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder until the end of the 2015-16 season. You know, the one that comes after 2014-15, which can't start until the current 2013-14 campaign winds its way to a conclusion. 

Deron Williams and the Brooklyn Nets came first, and that was ridiculous. So too is this pitch, because every team in the NBA wants Kevin Durant to play for it. He is, after all, playing at such a high level that Roger Rubin of the New York Daily News called him the "NBA’s hottest player" after he scored only 26 points to snap his string of 30-point outings. 

Once more, you could replace "John Wall" with "Star X" and "Wizards" with "Team Y," and the headline would probably still apply.

So long as Star X played for Team Y, of course.
