Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid missed the entirety of his rookie season after suffering a stress fracture in his right foot, and his regular-season debut will be put on hold for another full year.

Embiid to Undergo a Second Surgery Saturday, July 11 According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, Embiid will undergo a second surgery on his right foot. Embiid suffered a setback in the healing process, and the Sixers decided to suspend his rehabilitation program as a result.

The Philadelphia Daily News' Bob Cooney confirmed Pompey's report and added the following regarding the potential severity of the injury:
