Jodie Meeks turned a big season into a big paycheck, as the 26-year-old guard reportedly signed with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.

Without question, Meeks had a career year for the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 15.7 points and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. In a season where little went right for the Lakers, Meeks was undoubtedly a bright spot.
Still, some might argue that Los Angeles' ineptitude may have inflated Meeks' numbers, as the old "well, somebody has to score, right?" theory goes. Coming into the season, Meeks had never averaged more than 27.9 minutes and 10.5 points per game, both earned with the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2010-11 season.
