Jodie Meeks Shines Once Again: What Does This Mean For Evan Turner?

Last night, the Philadelphia 76ers bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Atlanta Hawks by defeating the Charlotte Bobcats, 109-91.

A key player in this victory was definitely shooting guard Jodie Meeks.

Meeks dropped a total of 26 points. He tied a franchise record of most points scored in the first quarter with 20 (Allen Iverson did so).

Head coach Doug Collins has been saying all along that he has been looking for the right starting five that flows together.

Meeks has recently shined twice, scoring over 20 points each time. He is starting to prove that he can be an everyday guard.

But what does this mean for Evan Turner?

When Meeks is hot and in the starting lineup, Turner is invisible. In the two games where Meeks has scored over 20, Turner was scoreless. 

Collins has to keep Meeks in the starting five because he is playing too well. Therefore, Andre Iguodala will move to the small forward position.

What do we do with Turner? Keep him on the bench? Send him to the D-League?

Well, I think we should send Turner to the D-League.
