Joakim Noah Close to a Contract Extension with the Chicago Bulls?

Nick Friedell was in a chat for answering questions regarding the Chicago Bulls, on the transcript he answers a question about Carmelo Anthony and also mentions that both Joakim Noah and the Chicago Bulls are close to a contract extension. Here is the exact quote per Nick Friedell:

The Carmelo rumors just won’t go away so let’s try to get them cleared up one more time. The Bulls just don’t want to move Noah. They are getting closer to a contract extension and one should be done before the regular season begins.

 

So, I will not be surprised if the contract extension is a done deal before the regular season begins. The question remains as to the years and how much he will make. We already heard reports of a possible offering of $60 million for five years, but that offer was soon shut down and reportedly changed to $57.4 million for five years.

Joakim Noah supposedly wants between $70-$75 million for five years.
