After a strong season with the Charlotte Hornets, guard Jeremy Lin has expressed an interest in remaining with the team for the 2016-17 campaign and beyond.

Lin Comments on Free Agency Status Friday, May 6 According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, the 27-year-old veteran suggested Monday he is likely to opt out of his contract, but he stressed how much he has enjoyed playing for the Hornets:

I would love to [return]. I don't like moving every year, I don't like packing and unpacking boxes. So we'll see. But I'm definitely interested in coming back. ... This is the most fun I've had in my six years [in the NBA]. Being around a great group of guys and a coaching staff that really cares. I've learned so much about the game of basketball, particularly at the defensive end.

Lin averaged 11.7 points, 3.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game, primarily off the bench, in his debut season with Charlotte.
