Jeremy Lin Injury: Updates on Nets Guard’s Hamstring and Return

As the Brooklyn Nets look to build a roster that can compete in the Eastern Conference, losing star guard Jeremy Lin to a strained left hamstring is going to test their depth.

Lin Goes Out with Hamstring Injury Wednesday, Nov. 2 Lin had 10 points and four assists against the Detroit Pistons before exiting. In four games this year, he's averaging 16.3 points and 6.5 assists per game.

Lin has established himself as a valuable role player in the NBA, even if he's no longer the budding superstar he was with the New York Knicks five years ago. He's struggled to shoot consistently, hitting 41.2 percent of his attempts with the Charlotte Hornets last season. 

Per 36 minutes, Lin averaged 16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists last season. His points and assists would have ranked fifth on the Nets in 2015-16, per Basketball-Reference.com.
