Charlotte Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin is dealing with an ankle injury and will not play Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lin Among Multiple Hornets Dealing with Injury Wednesday, Dec. 30 Charlotte Hornets PR confirmed Lin was out for Wednesday's contest but also noted Al Jefferson and Spencer Hawes will miss the game, while Nicolas Batum is a game-time decision.   

Lin hasn't been the same since bursting onto the scene with the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season and sparking the "Linsanity" phenomenon. After short stints with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, Lin finds himself at a career crossroads.

The Hornets already have a promising young floor general in Kemba Walker. If Lin can't return soon, at least Walker can eat up more minutes.

Beyond Walker, though, head coach Steve Clifford's team doesn't have much in the way of point guards to turn to other than Brian Roberts, who hasn't played more than 10 minutes in a game since Dec. 2.
