Jeff Teague Holds Ball for 15 Seconds, Loses It While Attempting Buzzer-Beater

The Atlanta Hawks’ final possession in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Game 4 against the Boston Celtics was downright painful to watch.

With 15 seconds left and the score tied at 92, Hawks point guard Jeff Teague received the inbounds pass and took a mighty three dribbles.

That was it.

When he finally pulled up to shoot over Isaiah Thomas with about two seconds left, the ball slipped out of his hands, ending regulation.

The 27-year-old point guard was clutch down the stretch, and he deserves credit for that:

But that last look? Yikes.

Boston won in overtime, 104-95, to tie the series at two games apiece.
