Jeff Green Injury: Updates on Clippers Forward’s Knee and Return

Los Angeles Clippers forward Jeff Green suffered a knee injury on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. It's unclear when he'll return to the court.

Green Won't Return vs. Lakers Wednesday, April 6 The Clippers announced Green suffered a right knee contusion on Wednesday night, and would not return. 

Green, 29, has been solid at forward for the Clippers since coming over in the trade that sent Lance Stephenson and a first-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies. For the 2015-16 season, he's averaging 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 28.4 minutes per game.

Losing Green is a serious blow for the Clippers. While he doesn't have the impact of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan for the team—and he doesn't provide the instant offense of Jamal Crawford—Green is capable of playing both forward positions and offers scoring, rebounding and defense. 



With Green injured, Wesley Johnson, Paul Pierce and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will see extended playing time.
