JaVale McGee Channels Buddha, Photographs His Antics While Traveling the Globe

There is no doubt that the 2011 NBA lockout has impacted basketball fans all around the globe, but not everybody is choosing to deal with it in such a serious matter.

While the lockout is serious, considering that one of the United State's major sports and revenue streams may not even play this season, JaVale McGee has apparently decided to take his frustrations and vent them in a whole new way. In fact, he's completely made up a new phenomenon from scratch, and I wouldn't be surprised if it started a fad.

By now, you should be familiar with the craze known as planking, which is essentially the "art" of lying face down and keeping your hands rigid to the side of your body like a plank. The kicker is that, in order to be a legitimate plank, you need to have a picture taken of it, and the more unusual the location of the plank the better.



As an NBA player, McGee has shown incredible potential and skill, as evidence by his 10.1 points and eight rebounds per game in 2011 with the Washington Wizards. He may have shown even greater potential as a planker, though.
