Jason Terry Injury: Updates on Kings SG’s Knee and Recovery

Jason Terry was just traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Sacramento Kings and now it's already been announced he will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Ken Berger of CBS Sports passed along remarks from Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro, who confirmed the decision to have the guard sit out for the duration of the campaign:

Bleacher Report's Howard Beck believes it's just a creative way of saying Terry wasn't interested in playing for the Kings after the trade:

The Kings currently sit in last place in the Western Conference with an 18-36 record.

Terry appeared in 35 games for the Nets prior to the move. The veteran struggled to carve out a consistent role for himself with the rebuilt team, however. He averaged less than five points while shooting 36 percent from the floor in 16 minutes per game.

What the future holds for him now that he's sitting out for the rest of the season is unclear. It will probably get decided after he gets back to full strength in time for the offseason.
