Jarrett Jack Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz and Speculation on Nets Guard

The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly shopping veteran point guard Jarrett Jack and the final non-guaranteed year on his contract before free agency beings Friday.

Nets Looking to Move Jack by Thursday  Tuesday, June 28 According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski the Nets would like to deal Jack in order to clear his salary off the books. However, Wojnarowski added that if Brooklyn can't find a trade partner, it will waive Jack instead. 

The 32-year-old is owed $6.3 million in the final year of his contract, but the Nets (or whichever team trades for him) will only be responsible for $500,000 of that commitment if Brooklyn waives him by the buyout deadline on Thursday. 

And as Basketball Insiders' Eric Pincus noted, an interested club could take on the $500,000 buyout and waive him via the stretch provision, but it would have to give the Nets "something they value."
