James Michael McAdoo Reportedly Re-Signs with Warriors: Latest Details, Reaction

The Golden State Warriors didn't extend a qualifying offer to James Michael McAdoo before free agency started, but they reportedly struck a deal to keep him in the fold for at least one more season.   

According to The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears, the Warriors will sign McAdoo to a one-year deal. NBA salary-cap guru Albert Nahmad noted McAdoo will earn the veteran minimum equal to $980,431 after the Warriors renounced his early Bird rights. The San Francisco Chronicle's Rusty Simmons confirmed McAdoo will sign for the minimum. 

McAdoo has been a seldom-used piece off Golden State's pine each of the past two seasons, but keeping him in the fold at such a cheap rate allows the defending Western Conference champions to bolster their frontcourt depth even more. 

Veteran David West reportedly agreed to sign for the veteran minimum on July 5, per Turner Sports analyst David Aldridge, while burly enforcer Zaza Pachulia reportedly took a steep discount and signed for the Warriors' $2.9 million room exception, per The Vertical's Shams Charania.
