If nothing else, the NBA is a league where self-expression is as much a part of the ebb and flow of the game as any sneaker or grease-board strategy.
Indeed, what an amazing world we live in when you can get paid to go out on a basketball court, have fun and be yourself.
Jameer Nelson is currently experiencing the exact opposite arrangement.
According to Ken Hornack of Fox Sports Florida, Nelson was fined $15,000 by the league front office for what the latter is calling an “on-court gesture.”
That’s it! That’s the story!
I’m guessing y’all want to see the gesture in question, huh. All right:
It should be noted that this isn’t a Jameer Nelson Original Move. That honor belongs to former NBA firebrand Sam Cassell, who rolled out this number a staggering 3,298 times during his 15-year NBA career, according to Basketball-Reference.com.
That’s actually made up. But he did it a lot.
