Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith left the floor during Monday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a right knee contusion.

Cavs Unsure If Smith Needs MRI  Monday, Nov. 2 Cavs coach David Blatt said Smith may get an MRI when the team returns to Cleveland, but "at this point, he just doesn't know," according to Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. 

Smith Latest Cavs Guard to Deal With Injury  The Cavs stand to lose even more scoring in their backcourt with Smith out of the lineup.

The 30-year-old arrived in Cleveland along with former New York Knicks teammate Iman Shumpert in a trade this last January and has blossomed into a more complete player for the Cavs. Now that Smith is down, though, Cleveland is running thin on the perimeter.    

Shumpert is still recovering from wrist surgery, while All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving is still on the mend as well from a knee injury. Veteran swingman James Jones can provide outside shooting on the wing but is almost exclusively a three-point specialist.
